We've got a coyote on the loose, and he's getting very bold. Here is a picture of him. (Click on the picture to blow it up bigger so you can see him better.) In the middle of the day, he ran across the entire width of our property, across the property of our neighbor, and into a bunch of pine trees. He's been spotted several times, by many different neighbors. A couple neighbors are planning a hunt soon. This is because the coyote has taken down a couple goats, many chickens, and even a horse lately.

Wow! A coyote took out a horse? I would not have thought that could happen. He must be very bold and very skilled. I think I'd want him gone too!
More about the coyote taking down a horse in our neighborhood. I did not witness the coyote(s) gang up on the horse, but there were lots of coyote tracks around the horse. (So it was most likely a pack of them.) The horse did not die, though he was pretty messed up for a while. It is my understanding the vet was able to pull him through. The large male goat living with our 2 goats was not so lucky, however. He tried to defend the ladies, and did defend them, to his own death. Poor fellow!
I feel so sorry for that poor, male goat. We have goats here - and I've become very fond of them.
I can't believe you got a picture of him! You must just be sitting aaround with a camera or something! Just kidding- I know better!
We saw 2 crossing the road in broad daylight. They were very scary looking. They seemed so bold.
